What is a group khatm?
A khatm is one full reading of the Qur'an. In a group khatm, people share its 30 parts, called juz. Each person reads the parts they took. When all 30 are done, the group has read the whole Qur'an together.
Do my family and friends need the app?
No. They open your link, sign in with an email code, Apple or Google, pick a juz, and read it in the browser. Arabic with English, page by page.
How do we finish the Qur'an in Ramadan as a group?
Start early and share the link. With 30 people, each person reads one juz, about 20 pages, at any time in the month. With fewer people, each person takes more parts. Set the finish date to the 29th night so you finish before Eid.
Who can see our khatm?
Only people who have your link. They see first names and which parts are taken or done. Nobody sees how many pages anyone read.
How many can I start?
On the web, you can have three open khatms at a time. Niyat members can start more in the app.
Is it free?
Yes. Starting a khatm and reading your part on the web is free.
Your khatm also works in the Niyat app. Members open the same link on iPhone and read their part there. Everyone else reads here, in the browser.
